CHES Welcomes Visiting Professor, Dr. David Irby
CHES is pleased to be hosting our June Research Rounds speaker, Dr. David Irby, from June 18 to 21, 2012. Dr. David Irby is professor of medicine and until recently the vice dean for education and director of the Office of Medical Education at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He is a former senior scholar at The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, where he co-directed a national study on the professional preparation of physicians.

Who we are

 

Sarah Dobson

Sarah Dobson is the Research Manager & Grant Facilitator at CHES. She completed her BA&Sc (Arts & Science) at McMaster University and an MSc (santé communautaire) at the Université de Montréal. As an experienced writer and editor, part of her role in CHES is to review research proposals and manuscripts, facilitate grants, and assist community members in navigating UBC research processes. Her current research focuses on health advocacy within the medical profession.
